This is a story loaded with irony. The protagonist is an observer who has made a habit of observing everyone and everything, and find out about details. He works at a tobacco warehouse. Although yhe people around tauntingly call out to him as “Observer!”, he is, in fact, a guard. He observes, and uses his observations, but he fails to hold onto life. Observation: Does a rectangle have three corners, or does it appear to have three corners when you stand at one corner of it and see three corners? Is the observer expelled because he tells the truth? The film is an adaptation from Salâh Birsel’s novel of the same title.
